Life is Precious

Our dear friend Brian was critically injured in a car accident on Sunday. This news shot right through our hearts. Brian is one of Chris' closest friends. He had just talked to him a few nights before. We were planning on getting together for the NC State Bowl Game after Christmas. It is scary how fast something can go wrong.

All of this got me to thinking. I know life is precious but when something happens so close to home it is a reality check. You realize how important it is to let the people around you know how important they are in your life. Everyday I am touched by people in my life. I am making an effort to let people know how they have affected me or helped me. I do not wanted to take anyone or anything for granted.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband, very supportive parents, and overall loving family. Everyday I thank God for all his many blessings. We continue to pray for Brian and his family. He is making improvements everyday. Stay strong Brian! You have helped me put my life into perspective.

There is a song that comes to mind when reading your blog. Its on a Christmas CD. I will have to see if I can find it. Anyways it goes something along the lines of if you can't sleep instead of counting sheep count your blessings. So very very true!!

I hope all goes well with Brian. Be sure to keep us posted!

I would love to know if you found that song. It sounds like a good one... for all year long!
